Morphological Characteristics. Microclimate

The wine farm "Traversa" consist of two Cascina "Bertolotto" and "Gergi - 72 hectare- 18 now vineyard cultivated , but is forecast an important implantation.

The leftover hectare are used for coppice, hazel grove cultivation , sowable land and meadow which are destined to vineyard .

The particular exposition of the vineyard area disposed in amphitheatre direction East-South-West, the hazel and almond grove, the coppice - broom and thyme, the soil favourable to the vine cultivation, the microclimate influenced by the onshore makes the flavour and taste of wine unique and absolutely exclusive.

To obtain excellent his products Travesa family gives particular attention to the selection of grapes and during the vintage - generally in the second part of October - named "late vintage".

The low temperature during the autumnal period favourite - through a slow fermentation - the conservation of flavours volatile ether that distinguish the wine for high quality and refinement.

The final product becomes sweet-smelling of fresh and deep fragrances a "bouquet" very particular, fruity and harmonious.

The Traversa family is proud to declare that, the soil is exclusively organic without using industrial fertilizers, with the exclusion of herbicidal and anticryptogamic but using only products including copper and sulphur.
